Never before has Hollywood seen an era like this. In this current era, people of color have been putting out tons of incredible movies. Not only are these movies box office successes, they are also being met with critical acclaim.

A Wrinkle In Time is looking to continue this trend, as it is succeeding Black Panther, which has made box office history. Among other things, the movie has Oprah Winfrey in a starring role. Famed director, Ava DuVernay decided to use the movie to give back.

Ava DuVernay held a screening in Compton, allowing students to watch the movie for free. The city of Compton is historic, as it is the birthplace of NWA, which has its hands all over entertainment, nearly thirty years later. Now, the current Compton era is watching the movie.
