It seems like something is always going on in Florida. In close presidential elections, they usually decide the president, and they voted twice for Barack Obama. But, there is always a man in Florida, referred to as “Florida man” on the news, doing something.
As “Atlanta” does, they flipped the Florida man description, and turned it into an urban legend. When it comes to those types of situations, it’s usually Darius (LaKeith Stanfield) who breaks it down. Last season, fans had a lot of questions about the Florida Man stuff.
Tonight, when Paper Boy (Brian Tyree Henry) told Earn (Donald Glover) to check on Uncle Willie (Katt Williams), Darius shared his theory. As they were talking, he brought up Florida Man, the man who is always doing something, “Florida man shoots unarmed teen,” etc. Twitter was hip to it, and they were with it.
