This isn’t taking away from the other rappers, but it’s interesting how a lot of rappers had career years when Drake took the year off. Again, these guys made some great music. Now, Drake is back, and he’s suddenly owned the past two weeks.
Last week, Drake gave BlocBoy JB a boost, and now he’s back with his own visuals. To kick 2018 off, Drake has been in Miami, giving away large amounts of money. It turns out, this was the money for the budget he had for the “God’s Plan” music video.
Drake ended up donating his budget and filming each donation for his music video. In that way, he definitely paid for the video, and then some, as this is one of the most-incredible music videos in a long time. The impact “God’s Plan” has had in one day, plus the domination on the charts, makes it Video of the Week.
