Honestly, it’s sad to even hear about Wale being in a position like this, because he had so much potential. In 2009, Wale rose to fame, following years of work. At the time, he was predicted to be the next lyrical rapper, and homeboy has bars.

However, Wale saw himself languishing on the Interscope roster and turned to Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for help. After being freed of his deal and going independent, Rick Ross bragged of wanting to sign Wale. Even after an impressive year, no one thought Ross could sign him.

Wale shocked the world, when he was the first artist to sign with MMG, after they did their deal with Warner. There, Wale had a breakout 2011, where he scored several radio hits. Commercially, Wale has yet to reach the same levels of success, as MMG moved to Atlantic, and now word has it that he’s been dropped.
