Amara La Negra talks about colorism in the entertainment industry | #TRL [VIDEO]

Even with Trick Daddy, Trina, and Gunplay, on “Love & Hip Hop Miami,” the biggest star is Amara La Negra. In a little over a month, she has become the most-known star of the show, and a major advocate for women of color. She often speaks on being Afro-Latina, a hot topic.

Amara La Negra used Cardi B, as an example, and people tried to turn it into beef. However, that was quickly shut down, as Amara is the most-popular “Love & Hip Hop” person since Cardi. But, Amara La Negra has given Miami a whole new energy.

Continuing her rise to stardom, Amara La Negra stopped by “TRL,” talking to DC Young Fly. As she continues to raise awareness about Afro-Latin heritage, she spoke on colorism in entertainment. Those who saw Amara’s debut on “Love & Hip Hop Miami,” she got into it with a producer over her actual Afro.
