Following the success of “Love & Hip Hop,” VH1 decided to do a spinoff, of the show. Atlanta was the obvious choice for the new show and they lined up a dope cast. The original cast had Shay Johnson, a VH1 vet, Lil’ Scrappy, Stevie J, Joseline, Mimi, and K. Michelle.
Also included in the cast was Rasheeda and Karlie Redd. Out of this lineup, most of the people are still on the show. Despite not being the original show, in the franchise, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” has been the most-popular show, in the whole franchise.
With “Love & Hip Hop Miami” in full swing, Shay Johnson is back in action. VH1 is doing something they’ve never done before, in airing two “Love & Hip Hop” shows, at the same time, with the flagship show winding down, this season. When “Love & Hip Hop” winds down, “Love & Hip Hop Atlanta” returns, with March being the launch date.
