During a recent interview, with “The Breakfast Club,” Jermaine Dupri spoke on how he doesn’t get enough credit, for his contributions. The popular producer is the one who helped put Atlanta on the map. But, for whatever reason, he isn’t considered a legend by many.

Jermaine Dupri was instrumental in Ludacris scoring hits, Usher, Da Brat, Bow Wow, Mariah Carey, Jay-Z, and many others. In the cases of both Usher and Mariah Carey, JD arguably helped revive their careers, during vulnerable times. However, Janet Jackson didn’t get that boost.

But, Jermaine Dupri has opened doors for many, and even helped artists with no talent score hits and have runs. Whether it be rap, or R&B, JD definitely had something for them. Now, he is finally getting his props, being inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
