All season long, Porsha has been trying to make amends with Kandi, for how last season ended. Since 2014, tension had been building between Porsha and Kandi. Much of this was due to Phaedra, who used to be Kandi’s best friend.
However, the claims Phaedra made about Kandi made it impossible for them to ever be friends again. The decision Porsha made to repeat them has made it hard for Kandi to forgive her, too. But, for her magazine event, Kandi invited Porsha, as a sign of maturity.
Because she’s still upset with Porsha, Kandi and her team continued to ignore her. This is something the fans ended up taking offense to. After being on Kandi’s side, they questioned why she invited Porsha, just to shade her the whole night, to which Porsha agreed, tweeting with them about it.
