Fans are calling for a boycott of #EverydayStruggle after Star was named co-host, due to his past disrespect of Aaliyah, and DJ Envy’s small daughter

Behind the scenes, Complex went through a lot changes. When it came down to it, Joe Budden felt he was owed much more than Complex was paying him, for creating “Everyday Struggle.” Because of this, he decided to leave the show.

DJ Akademiks, for the time being, has chosen to remain with the show, but hinted that he could leave, too. With this morning being the season two launch, Star was named the new co-host. In his past, Star has been quite controversial.

Following his first episode of “Everyday Struggle,” Star is facing backlash for his past actions. Back in 2001, when reporting Aaliyah’s death, on Hot 97, Star played crash noises, in the background, and he would later threaten DJ Envy’s then-4-year-old daughter, on radio. Because of this, some fans have called for a boycott of the show.
