Those who follow the mixtape scene, heavy, should already know who this man is. But, for those who don’t, this is GSET HESS, and he’s been making a lot of noise. Moving and shaking, with the right people, and circles, have helped him become a recognizable force.
Similar, in position, to many others, GSET HESS is only one hit away from being a major star. Often, that is said, here, about many rising artists. The reasoning behind such statements are their number of followers, and number of video views, without having a hit record.
GSET HESS is fresh off the Juice project, and he is hoping he’s already scored his hit record. Recently, GSET HESS took the time out to speak with Hip-HopVibe.com about his rising career. He spoke on his goals, and much more.

Seeing how you’ve dropped new material every year, how important do you feel it is for artists to drop new material, at least once a year? I feel like it’s extremely Important to keep dropping music. I honestly don’t think I dropped enough. We make music, its our job, or we want it to be our job one day, so as artist we should be dropping music as frequently as we can to feed the fans. I’m dropping more music in 2018 than I have combined in 2 years. I really want to succeed at this music.
What is so special about your Juice project? Well there is a few special things about it. The fact that I didn’t write one word down and freestyle the whole tape is special. I think the production on the tape is special. My engineer did a special job. This project is really special because of the feedback I’m getting so far. I’ve gotten a lot of new fans and my streams on Apple Music are way up past my previous release. This project is a start. I’m going to get better and better from here.
Why do you feel as if you have the “juice” right now? Well I feel like I have the juice because I’m literally doing all of this on my own. I got the juice because I will never give up and a lot of people appreciate the fact that I am progressing musically and professionally. I got the juice because the music I make is great music. A lot of people go off clout and hype now days. I’m gonna progress musically and then my clout and hype will come. I’m gonna last a long time in this game because I make unique music. I got the juice because I don’t sound like any other artist out there right now. Everyone tells me my sound is unique. It’s gonna pay off for me.
So far, which song has been your favorite, out of the ones you have released? My favorite track is “Wave,” off of the Juice project. The beat is crazy and the effects my engineer put on my voice are dope. The whole concept of the song is dope. People do try to ride your wave when they see you up to something. So I just made that song to tell people to create your own wave abs clout. Its better that way.
Do you ever think about what life would have been like if you made it as a pro football player? Not really, I wouldn’t have been learning this much about myself. If I was still playing ball I wouldn’t be rapping at all. I love rapping more than football so I’m happy I’m doing this. I think I will make it big one day.
