Yes, this was intentional. The whole HHV team decided to wait until Sunday to do the Video of the Week, so it would be December 31. This year was a much different year than most, in hip hop, which was highlighted by Cardi B taking over the game.
Coming into 2017, nobody would have believed Jay-Z would drop an album, confessing to cheating on Beyonce, and a Cardi B single would get more play. But, it did, which showed the official changing of the guard. That doesn’t mean Jay-Z didn’t get busy, though.
Jay-Z confessed everything on “Family Feud” and he dropped the music video, last week. The video stars Beyonce and Blue Ivy, but boasts cameos from Michael B. Jordan, Rosario Dawson, Brie Lawson, and Rashida Jones, among many others.
