With all the hoopla surrounding Cardi B, it’s hard to remember all of the other breakout stars. Like Cardi B, Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Yazz, rose to fame in 2015. However, it wasn’t until 2017 that people really began to respect his talent.

During “Empire” season three, Yazz’s Hakeem became the breakout character. Then, during the season intermission, Yazz played the role of the music legend, Michael Bivins, in BET’s “The New Edition Story.” He was easily the breakout star of the film.

For good reason, Yazz is feeling good, right now, and that’s when things can begin to shift. As great as 2017 has been for Yazz, and will continue to be, he was put on blast by a woman. She has evidence of him sliding into her DMs, it escalated to texts, where she turned his offers down, and then she says he blocked her.
