Currently, Post Malone is facing backlash, as he’s being accused of appropriating the culture. But, these are the types of accusations every artist, not of the same race, has gone through. With Post Malone, he’s getting hit hard, just as he’s becoming a household name.
Post Malone, over the course of his career, has always had strong name recognition. Now, though, Post Malone also has one of the hottest songs on radio. His “Rockstar” single, featuring 21 Savage, has become a massive hit.
Recently, Post Malone, who is still dealing with the backlash, was playing a video game, sharing it on a live stream. Playing one of the many shooting games, Post Malone was knocking them all dead. As he was killing them, he says “you’ll all get f*cking gunned down, like a … dork,” and it’s that pause leading to more backlash.
