Overall, the year of 2017 has been a great year for hip hop. The new, emerging, generation has finally arrived and they have taken their position in the game. Still, the older generation is proving that they still have it.
A lot of people are saying Cardi B is having the best year ever, but everything with Remy Ma has been all the way up, too. After her strong start, to the year, she, too, signed a huge deal. Hiring a proven manager in Vince Herbert, Remy Ma signed a huge record deal.
Earlier this month, Remy Ma signed a multimillion dollar deal with Columbia Records. Now, she has delivered her single, “Wake Me Up,” featuring onetime rival, Lil’ Kim. These two showed great unity and created a banger in “Wake Me Up,” for which the video is this week’s Video of the Week.
