Suddenly, Irv Gotti is back at the forefront, but this time around, it’s with television. His show, “Tales,” is one of the biggest shows on BET, and every episode is star-studded. The series adapts popular songs from rappers, and acts out each episode.
“Tales” has featured episodes with Maino, Tammy Rivera, Woody McClain, Keith Powers, Demetrius Shipp, Jr., and Jim Jones, among many others. Episodes have also had cameos from Black Child and Brody Jenner. Each week, the episodes dominate Twitter.
Irv Gotti visited N.O.R.E. and DJ EFN for a “Drink Champs” episode, where he spoke on his role in music. Talking about his Def Jam days, working with Lyor Cohen, he explained why he almost quit. He talked about his friendship with Jennifer Lopez, his rivalry with Diddy, coming up with Jay-Z, DMX, and Ja Rule, working with Bobby Brown, Suge Knight’s beefs, and where he compared Drake to Eminem.
