When BET said “We Got You Covered,” they sure weren’t making things up. Last night’s BET Hip Hop Awards is arguably the best award show BET has had, in a long time. Moving to Miami proved to be the winning move, as DJ Khaled made sure a show was had.
“Tales” has also proven BET to be a winner, when it comes to their stable of scripted original programming. Via “Tales,” Irv Gotti is giving chances to a lot of actors. Early this year, Woody McClain was a breakout star, playing Bobby Brown on “The New Edition Story.”
This summer, Woody McClain returned to BET as ‘Slim’ on “Tales,” playing in the B.I.G. “I Got A Story To Tell” episode. There, he did the right thing by Ashley (Jennifer Nicole Freeman) and Isaiah Whitlock (Rico Ball). But, on tonight’s “Tales,” Slim was on the wrong side of history, as Crystal (Michelle Mitchenor) shot and killed him in the Fetty Wap “Trap Queen” episode.
