Shocking and sad news came from BET, this afternoon. After having one of their best Hip Hop Awards, in recent years, one of their scripted programs was cancelled. Back during the summer of 2013, BET debuted “Being Mary Jane,” starring Gabrielle Union.
Through its history, BET was always billed as a “cheap” network, so it was big for them to get a series, starring Gabrielle Union. She quickly became the face of the network, as “Being Mary Jane” set records. But, all good things come to an end, as “Scandal” is also ending its run.
With the series over, Gabrielle Union decided to take a moment to speak with her fans. Taking to Instagram, she thanked them for their support, of close to five years. Now, she is likely to take a little time off with hubby, Dwyane Wade, who is now playing with the Cleveland Cavaliers, before returning with her next gig.
