Since the world first came to know Kendrick Lamar, he was popular because he wasn’t like “most rappers.” While most rappers are more flashy and tough, Kendrick Lamar only brandished his intellect. That helped him score some huge club bangers, too.
Kendrick Lamar was written off by most, heading into 2017. It wasn’t that he “fell off,” it was that he no longer appeared interested in making mainstream hit records. Boy, did he fool everyone with that one, as he came back stronger than ever.
In the midst of his run, Kendrick Lamar received backlash for gifting his little sister a Toyota, after she graduated high school. A few years prior, she made headlines for having a child at thirteen years old and many felt a rap star would buy a “flashier” car for his sister, but Kendrick is more realistic. Now, his sister is seventeen and pregnant, again.
