It’s been a beautiful thing to see Yo Gotti continue to rise to the top, the way he has. The year of 2017 was defined by the emergence of Cardi B and domination of DJ Khaled, French Montana, Future, and Kendrick Lamar. There was also Jay-Z’s comeback, in the midst of this.
Paying close attention, Yo Gotti also came through and scored a major hit single. Fans have gotten used to Yo Gotti dropping a banger, every other year. In 2013, he did “Act Right” with Jeezy and YG, followed by 2015’s “Down In The DM,” and now, “Rake It Up.”
Each Yo Gotti record has gotten bigger than the previous offering. But, nothing is touching “Rake It Up,” which is number eight on Billboard, and has the potential to go higher. Tonight, Yo Gotti announced “Rake It Up” went platinum, which is huge for him, and Nicki Minaj.
