Honestly, the world is in peril, right now, but it’s a beautiful thing. As much as certain leaders try to divide the people, other major figures are uniting these same people. Then, natural disasters are bringing people closer together than ever.

Puerto Rico is a part of the United States of America and the island has had a strong influence on the hip hop culture. Look no further than Fat Joe for evidence on this. Since 1993, Fat Joe has consistently dropped hit records and been active in his communities.

Fat Joe joined TIDAL, alongside Remy Ma, last year and immediately began taking part in their festivities. Earlier this afternoon, Fat Joe announced he was taking part in Jay-Z’s #TIDALXBrooklyn show, which is donating all proceeds to the Puerto Rico recovery. Then, Fat Joe said he was headed to PR with Daddy Yankee to get to work, on a personal level.

As the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico grows, our brothers and sisters are desperate for our help. Please join myself, TIDAL, Governor Cuomo, and Ruben Diaz Jr. as we collect and transport much-needed supplies to the island. The goal is to fill and send as many cargo planes as possible.  Donate or find your local drop-off location and help save lives. Head to TIDAL.com/PuertoRico. If you are in the New York area we are collecting non perishable items such as water, batteries, can foods, diapers, baby wipes, canned formula, etc. on September 30th at the Jacob Javits Center. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and I promise all these items will be delivered by ME personally to Puerto Rico. God bless. #savepuertorico
