One reason Cardi B has managed to become so popular is due to her always keeping it real. It is hard to really go against Cardi B, because of how she handles herself. Currently, Cardi B is dominating, as the top artist in the nation, as “Bodak Yellow” is number one.
Cardi B made history, as the first female rapper to have a solo single top the Billboard Hot 100 since 1998. This feat was last accomplished, back in 1998, when Lauryn Hill had “Doo Wop (That Thing).” At the time, Cardi B was only six.
Of course, with her popularity rising, someone had to come out to try and dampen the mood. Azealia Banks spoke out against her, likely out of jealousy, as Banks had strong buzz, five years ago. But, Cardi B handled it with class, sharing a video of Azealia Banks dancing to “Bodak Yellow.”
