Golden State Warriors issue official statement, regarding Donald Trump, and White House visit, saying they will not visit for 2017 championship [PHOTO]

Since 2014, the Golden State Warriors have been as close to unstoppable as humanly possible. Over a three-year span, the Warriors have lost a total of 39 regular season games. The three playoff appearances have seen them drop 15 combined games.

Because of their winning ways, pundits have compared this Warriors’ era to Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls. Often, Barack Obama, forever the sports buff, scoffed at the Warriors being in the conversation. That led to many jokes from the former president.

Then-president Obama shared a unique relationship with, not only just the Warriors, but most NBA teams. Due to the tone of Donald Trump’s candidacy and presidency, he has not been able to recreate these relationships, as most pro sports teams don’t want to visit him. After his response to Steph Curry’s interview, the Warriors spoke out, saying they now will not visit DC, due to their invitation being revoked.
