This morning, the Houston Rockets were sold to Tilman Fertitta, meaning Beyonce came short of purchasing the team. The past few years have been the Rockets’ best seasons since Hakeem Olajuwon was leading the team. James Harden has led the team, in this era.
Harden is one of the top scorers in the NBA and rose to fame, playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder. In 2012, he was a part of that roster that went to the NBA Finals. After that run, James Harden was traded to the Houston Rockets.
In five seasons, James Harden has led the Rockets to the playoffs, each year. During the 2014-2015 season, Harden led the Rockets out of a 3-1 hole, against the Clippers, to go to the Conference Finals, losing to the Golden State Warriors. With the ownership change, Harden has promised the Rockets he’s a lifer.
