Life isn’t fair, that’s one of the first lessons a person learns, no matter what their life is like. What happened to Houston isn’t fair, just like it wasn’t fair, exactly twelve years prior, when it happened to New Orleans. Then, years before that, it happened to North Carolina’s coast.

One thing all of these situations have in common is that the people prevailed. Many people in New Orleans sought refuge in Houston and people stepped up for people. Many celebrities created drives to donate money to the aid of the people.

Resilience is also key, as the people in the areas of need also find ways to maintain and survive. Popular Houston rapper, Sauce Walka, is making the best of his situation. He created Drip Island, where he and Rizzoo Rizzoo, and friends had a little fun in the flood.
