So, Friday went by and there was no Video of the Week post. Then, yesterday came and went with no Video of the Week post. But, the song dominating radio during the second half of the summer is “Rake It Up” from Yo Gotti and Nicki Minaj.
This week, the music video debuted on Jay-Z’s TIDAL, to much fanfare, but everybody couldn’t see it. Those who did rocked with it and it showed someone else having a big summer. The year of 2017 has been all about Khaled, Kendrick, French, Future, and Jay-Z.
But, Yo Gotti may own the fall, as Nicki Minaj has left her presence felt all year long. The “Rake It Up” music video was released for free, this morning, and it’s up to 2 million plays. This was the reason for the wait and the HHV Video of the Week comes on a Sunday, also shout out Blac Chyna.
