This weekend’s episode of “Power” ended in a shocking twist. Sweet, innocent, singing, studious, Raina (Donshea Hopkins) died. For the past two seasons, Tariq (Michael Rainey, Jr.) was the one acting out. In fact, Jukebox (Anika Noni Rose) and Kanan (50 Cent) planned to kill him.
It looked like everything was safe, when Ghost (Omari Hardwick) teamed up with Kanan to save ‘Riq. But, in the end, Raina was the one who wasn’t safe. Her decision to confront Ray-Ray (Marcus Callender) proved to be costly.
Donshea Hopkins stopped by ThisIs50, where she sat down with Jack Thriller, to explain things. Seeing how shocking her character’s death was, Hopkins spoke on Raina’s death. She explained the producers telling her it was going to happen, and her begging for another way to handle things.
