There are a lot of songs about fortune and fame and how, if used wrongly, it can ruin lives. Ironically, Jay-Z has several songs that deal with that very issue. Unfortunately, he and his father-in-law, Mathew Knowles, have learned these lessons the hard way.
Ultimately, Jay-Z was able to save his and Beyonce’s marriage. But, the same wasn’t possible for Mathew and Tina Knowles, as Mathew fathered a child with another woman. Since then, Tina has moved on, marrying popular actor, Richard Lawson.
Mathew Knowles, meanwhile, is said to be struggling on more levels than one. According to Fameolous, he pawned his car for $10,000, due to financial strain. They also said this isn’t the first time he has done something like this for money.
