Time moves on, and that’s the sad part, because Dirk Nowitzki is soon going to retire from the NBA. That two year deal he signed, this summer, is more than likely the last of his career. But, the Mavericks stopped being a good team a long time ago.
Somehow, the Mavericks managed playoff returns in 2015 and 2016, but don’t expect a 2018 appearance. After the 2016 season, Chandler Parsons left for the Grizzlies and Harrison Barnes is their only guy. He fit on the Warriors, but the Mavericks have more work to do.
Dirk Nowitzki is soon on his way out, but Kristaps Porzingis will be here for a long time. Unfortunately, the Knicks resemble the Mavericks during Dirk’s early years. While practicing for the NBA Africa Game, Dirk worked out with Kristaps and they practiced, with Dirk showing Kristaps his signature shot, which Twitter loves.
