Early in the 2000s, Irv Gotti took the music industry over. Already, the world knew Ja Rule, but only for his features on big records from such names as Jay-Z and DMX. The success of Ja Rule soon took the game over and he topped both rappers.
Ja Rule had a solid run from 2000 through 2005, although trouble began for him in 2002, and got the best of him. The Queens’ duo soon saw it all fall apart. But, Irv Gotti is back in the mix, with his new BET series, “Tales,” which dominated in its three episodes.
Irv Gotti stopped by Hot 97, speaking with Nessa, on her “Nessa 3 To 7” radio show. In the interview, he spoke on his biggest regrets, mainly trying to sign Nas to Murder Inc. and his comments about Jennifer Lopez. He also discussed Jay-Z and DMX and their history.
