Still, Drake is a hot commodity in hip hop, so he can afford to take a summer off. This year, Drake has taken a backseat, as DJ Khaled owned the summer. Along with him, there is also Future, Kendrick Lamar, and also French Montana having career summers.
But, Drake had the summers of 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, and last summer on lock. With that, Drake built a fan base that is significantly bigger than many others. He has a lot of work coming and his fans eagerly await it if Take Care 2 was no indication.
Drake has plenty of stalker fans who are often trying to get him. One fan was bold enough to trespass the property on which his mansion sits. A confrontation with the police became nasty, as the person spit on the officer.
