Fellas love “Power,” because it gives them a little of everything. The character of Ghost (Omari Hardwick) is a win, because he’s a man’s man. That’s the same reason Tommy (Joseph Sikora) is popular and then 50 Cent has a role on the show and his early career was like that.
Anybody who watched MTV during the “Direct Effect” era definitely wanted to see more of Lala. Back then, she was Lala Vasquez and her husband, Carmelo Anthony, was still in high school. Things changed and dudes gave up, but then “Power” came.
Two years ago, the world went crazy when Lala went on “The Breakfast Club” to tell them “Power” had her going topless. A lot of people tuned in to see Lala put it on Shawn (Sinqua Walls) and most dudes didn’t even know the storyline. But, hopefully they watched “Power” for the show, still it was cool to get to see Lala again.
