Just like DJ Khaled, last year, Gucci Mane is being introduced to the mainstream world for the first time after being around for a decade. It was 2005 when Gucci Mane burst onto the scene. Since then, he’s built a cult following, via his mixtapes.

Gucci Mane was easily the hardest-working artist in the industry. He often released official studio albums, mixtapes, and street albums within weeks of each other. Even being in prison didn’t slow Gucci down, even though it made him make big changes.

As he told Ebro on Hot 97, Gucci Mane doesn’t want to go back to prison, so he changed his whole lifestyle. With this came the opening for his single, “Both,” featuring Drake, which became a big hit. The single has now gone platinum, with Gucci Mane posting the platinum plaque on his Instagram.
