A few years ago, August Alsina appeared to be emerging as R&B’s next star. Off the bat, he signed with Def Jam and scored a major hit with their 2012-2013 phenom, Trinidad James. From there, he was often working with Trey Songz, Chris Brown, and Usher.
It didn’t take long for DJ Khaled to take August Alsina under his hit, often featuring him on his big records. Along with Khaled, August Alsina also formed a bond with Nicki Minaj. While August often joked about doing more, Nicki said he was her new little brother.
However, August Alsina has continuously taken steps back from the spotlight since 2015. Since then, there have been rumors surfacing about him, of all kinds. Now, August Alsina has posted an Instagram message, where he hints at having some kind of disease, whether it is an actual illness, or him being tired of the game, remains to be seen.
