Brooklyn emcee, Shake-A-Vel, may be a rising artist, but he is far from being a newcomer. He is someone the HHV team has been familiar with for the past few years. These years have seen Shake-A-Vel really hone in on his craft and deliver some big records.
Currently, Shake-A-Vel is working on his new album, while basking in the success of his Scale EP. The title track has become a runaway hit single. He released a music video for this record and it already has crossed 1 million views.
Shake-A-Vel recently did an On The Rise interview, where he spoke on his accomplishments. There is much more to come from him, as he has his label he is promoting. During the interview, he spoke on that, and much more.

How does it feel to finally receive the recognition you deserve for your hard work? It feels good to see the reaction from the fans. It’s motivation to make me go even harder.
Were you anticipating actually getting 1 million views on your last video? Well, I work hard on my craft so I do anticipate large success from a record like “Scale,” it is an impact song.
Can you talk to us about your Scale EP? The SCALE EP, I dropped top of the year and the hit single was the “Scale” record we knew that would kick the project off nice. It’s a few bangers on the EP, like “Exclusive Linez,” “BRIGHT LIGHTS & FAST CARS,” “A BETTER DAY,” “POP OFF,” etc.
You also have your Dri Land label, can you tell us more about that enterprise? Yeah, that would be the vision to get more mainstream success, but we do run a tight ship at Dri Lann.
Are you looking for a distribution deal for that situation, or are you happy with how things are now? Well, I’m setting things up to drop SCALE UNIVERSE: The Album working with a publicist right now we about to shoot the “For Da Money video, featuring Rudibel, that’s the first look off the album.We are gonna turn up way more first, though.
