Seeing how “This Is How We Do It” has been done to death, the past ten years, in commercials, Burger King dug up another mid-1990s relic. It is them who had “Return of the Mack” trending on social media. But, for a lot of people, they’re hearing this song for the first time.
The purpose of the Wednesday Throwback is to introduce people to music from years’ past. With Burger King giving Mark Morrison a comeback, it made sense for his story to be told. So, for starters, the song, “Return of the Mack,” is by Mark Morrison, released in 1996.
Mark Morrison released “Return of the Mack,” from his album of the same name, in 1996. Internationally, “Return of the Mack” did well, as a single, topping the charts in the US, as Morrison is from the UK.
