Give it up to the little man, Isaiah Thomas, because he’s played his heart out in this series. He did what he could for the Celtics, tonight, and it looked like it was enough. In the end, John Wall did a little bit more, good enough for the 92-91 win.
The good news is that Thomas saw to the Celtics not losing any home games in the Wizards’ series. Trust that John Wall wanted to take one, or both, of those first two games. Those early leads were huge, but those 53 points from IT were even bigger.
Isaiah Thomas talked to the media in the post-game interview about the whole Celtics’ squad wearing black. He also talked about being outscored 10-4 after the 82-82 lead, when they were up five points. Thomas said it’s his first Game 7, but he is ready for it.
