Only once has Al Horford made it past the second round of the playoffs and tonight, he thought he made it twice. John Wall made sure he didn’t, when he drained that three pointer. Before that mini-collapse, the Celtics had an 87-82 lead in the last minute.
There is a reason the game isn’t over until it’s over and the Celtics, despite all, lived up to predictions. Early in the season, fans anticipated the Celtics getting the first seed. These people also assumed the East would play better, so it would’ve been a 60-22 Celtics.
Regardless, what happened, happened, and Al Horford is now sitting down with the press. He spoke, directly, on the Wizards using an opening to get back in the game and forcing a Game 7. The Celtics blew the five point lead and the Wizards are headed back to Boston with a chance.
