Once upon a time, Charlamagne Tha God was a local South Carolina guy trying to find his way. He happened to get involved in radio, leading to him working for Charleston’s biggest station. Then, a chance competition led to him working for Wendy Williams in Philadelphia.
Since then, Charlamagne Tha God has remained in the NYC area, allowing an opening for him at Power 105.1. The final result was the birth of “The Breakfast Club” with DJ Envy and Angela Yee. Over the past six years, they have literally taken over radio.
Big Boy once tried New York City, but he was always an LA guy. He actually joined Charlamagne’s parent company, over at Real 92.3. Now, he welcomes Charlamagne to his show to discuss “Black Privilege,” his new book.
