Being real, nobody expected the Golden State Warriors to improve on that 73-9 record, this year. Exactly why they brought Kevin Durant in is kind of a head scratcher. The only thing that makes sense is that, last year, Durant’s Thunder exposed the 73-9 Warriors.
Breaking up Durant and Westbrook, then placing Durant in the mix with Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green was potent. It took a while for it to gel. But, the kicker is that the team still was the best team in the league, on their way to going 67-15.
