Finally, Mary J. Blige released her Strength of a Woman album. This album is her first album release since 2014. Then, she delivered her project based on her time in overseas, The London Sessions, which was met with critical acclaim.

Mary J. Blige has evolved since she debuted, back in the early 1990s. A lot of people have forgotten how instrumental she was in the early success of Puff Daddy. While she was never on Bad Boy Records, her trust in Puffy helped launch the label, successfully.

Recently, Mary J. Blige stopped by Shade 45, where she would speak with Sway about her new music. The interview also had her discuss her marriage ending and being single. She also addressed the message her album sends to men, as she is moving on with her own life as a single woman.
