Lil Wayne talks Roc Nation announcement and says Jay Z is helping him with Cash Money situation with Skip Bayless on #UndisputedFS1 [VIDEO]

There was once a time when it looked like Lil Wayne would never, ever, leave Cash Money Records. In the 2003-2004 period, Cash Money saw most of their roster leave. All of this was okay, as Lil Wayne stayed, so he was named president of the label by Birdman.

Lil Wayne also started Young Money, during this time, but would step down as the head of Cash Money. Focusing more on Young Money, he would sign Tyga, Drake, and Nicki Minaj. By 2011, each artist had massive hits under their belts.

Recently, Lil Wayne has been going back and forth with Birdman over his payments from Cash Money Records. Since 2015, Lil Wayne has worked directly with Jay Z, shouting out Roc Nation several times. Skip Bayless sat down with Lil Wayne on “Undisputed” on Fox Sports, where he addressed this, saying he’s still with Cash Money, but Jay Z is helping him.
