Last year, Troy Ave gave the hip hop world a big scare, when he was shot at Irving Plaza in New York City. He was at the venue to attend a concert T.I. was doing for TIDAL, the Jay Z-owned streaming service. A situation everyone knows, this concert never happened.
Troy Ave, meanwhile, was placed into police custody after being shot, and it looked like he may serve real prison time. A stroke of good fortune came Troy Ave’s way, when he managed to avoid prison. But, this same good fortune evaded Taxstone, who remains behind bars.
Stopping by “The Breakfast Club,” this morning, Troy Ave sat down with DJ Envy, Angela Yee, and Charlamagne Tha God. There, Troy Ave opened up on the Irving Plaza shooting and the attempts on his life. He would also discuss Taxstone and the time he spent in jail.
