The NBA world is still pretty shook about DeMarcus Cousins being traded to the New Orleans Pelicans. This trade completely revamped the Western Conference. Before the trade, Boogie’s Sacramento Kings were a fringe playoff team, fighting the Pelicans for position.
Now, the Pelicans are a lock for the playoffs, with DeMarcus Cousins being teamed up with Anthony Davis. Because of their amount of losses, the Pelicans will likely be a lower seed. But, they will be one of the toughest bottom seeds in league history, if their potential pans out.
DeMarcus Cousins spoke to the media for the first time as a member of the Pelicans, this morning. Here, he fielded several questions about the new organization, playing with AD, and building a contender. Safe to say, there will soon be Pelicans bandwagon fans.
