With each Rick Ross album, he always creates theatrics to introduce his newest release. Typically, Rick Ross announces the album during the first few days of January. Then, he spends the bulk of the year preparing the album for fans.

In the case of God Forgives, I Don’t, Rick Ross announced the album at the start of 2011, but it didn’t drop until late 2012. Similarly, Rick Ross announced Mastermind the same way and it didn’t drop until a year later. Since then, Rick Ross has moved differently.

Rick Ross joined Epic Records, where he follows DJ Khaled and Diddy with label deals. The year of 2016 was spent by Rick Ross handling his business with his new label partners, before announcing Rather You Than Me, at the AMAs. This morning, Ross put out a video on Instagram, with Chris Rock, that announced the March 17.
