Two weeks after The New Edition Story aired, people are still talking about the New Edition biopic. The film starred Bryshere “Yazz” Gray, Woody McClain, Luke James, Algee Smith, Elijah Kelley, and Keith Powers. Together, they played the members of New Edition.
Johnny Gill was added to the group, later by Michael Bivins, who was portrayed by Yazz in the BET series. Prior to this, Johnny Gill already had a successful solo career. He would later share the brotherhood with the fellow New Edition members.
Recently, Johnny Gill stopped by WBLS in New York City, where he would discuss the biopic. Once again, Gill gave Luke James props for his portrayal of him in the movie. The conversation would also shift to Stacy Lattisaw and their “beef.”
