“Hotline Bling” ? #GRAMMYs viewers are happy Drake won, but they don’t consider #HotlineBling a rap song

In 2015, there was an undeniable shift in the game. This is when Drake established himself as the true leader of the game. After delivering his surprise mixtape, Drake officially blurred the lines between a mixtape and an album.

Since then, Drake continued redefining the game, releasing “Hotline Bling” before 2015 ended. The song would dominate the closing 2015 months, as the track gained momentum. Later, it would serve as the lead single for Views, although unofficially.

“Hotline Bling” has done well and it was Grammy-nominated. The category it is in has people baffled, though. While everybody loves “Hotline Bling” and believes it deserves a Grammy, they are on Twitter questioning how this is even a rap song, let alone the “Best Rap Song.”
