Briefly in 2007, Hurricane Chris was one of the most-popular rappers in the game. He emerged with his “Ay Bay Bay” single in 2007 and then dropped “Hand Clap” as his follow-up single. By the summer of 2008, he was forgotten, but Lil Wayne gave him a major shoutout.

Lil Wayne dominated the summer of 2008 and his “Got Money” single, featuring T-Pain became a big hit. In the second verse, Lil Wayne shouts out Hurricane Chris. Briefly, in 2009, Hurricane Chris had another moderate success.

Hurricane Chris has primarily worked with up-and-coming artists since his 2009 run. But, he is going to be a big force in 2017, apparently, as he shows up in this studio pic with Lil Wayne. Taking Kodak Black on, Hurricane Chris says “F him” and challenges him to a fight.
