Events like the Super Bowl and the NBA Finals are great times to market a product. That is prime ad real estate and the prices are through the roof. But, franchises like The Fast and the Furious can afford the rates.
Tonight, the Super Bowl had a commercial with Cam Newton, a performance from Lady Gaga, and a Montell Jordan comeback. In the middle of that was the Fast and the Furious 8 trailer. Returning to the franchise is Vin Diesel, Tyrese, and Ludacris.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is among the new faces in the franchise, but most fans aren’t feeling it. They are flooding Twitter, complaining about how ridiculous the whole franchise has become. As loved as it is, most fans were ready to say goodbye following the Paul Walker death.
