Nostalgia time is for real on The New Edition Story, BET did a memorable job on this one. They have truly captured the essence of what was the late 1980s and early 1990s that New Edition ran. But, they weren’t the only ones on top.
Al B. Sure was also a part of this piece of time, evidenced on the previous Uptown Records documentary. But, the bigger umbrella was the MCA label, home to New Edition. With New Edition being on tour, of course Al. B Sure would perform.
No detail was left out, as Al B. Sure’s “Nite & Day” got a shout out in the movie. Then, the people were just caught up in how much Josh David really looks like Al B. Sure in 1989-1990. All of this has Al B. Sure trending on Twitter, surely something he is enjoying.
