Hip Hop Vibe Staff Writer
With the Simmons family using reality TV to become American royalty, the family who opened the door for them deserves their shine. The actual first introduction to hip hop was the Sugar Hill Gang. Founded by husband and wife, Joe and Sylvia (R.I.P.), the label made history.
But, unfortunately, the legacy was forgotten and unknown to many younger fans. Before “First Family of Hip Hop” was first announced, few people knew Lady Luck a member of the family. Tonight, Bravo gave viewers a first look into this new show.
Fans had the opportunity to see Lady Luck and Somaya Reece, her longtime girlfriend, and were introduced to the rest of the family. The immediate fan favorite is LeA, the young lady that has fans debating if she should pursue hip hop or pop. Overall, this show is a favorite among fans, already.
